2020 Annual Report

2020 was an epic year as we were gripped by the COVID 19 pandemic early on followed by many businesses closures. Lots of people were laid off or terminated as some businesses were classified as non-essential. Fear and uncertainty were at the forefront of many people’s minds. Mostly everyone had to learn to make sacrifices and adjustments to how they lived their everyday lives.

Hurricane season then unleashed its fury on LA with two direct impacts on the central LA area this summer, causing widespread damage and adding to the anxiety and financial distress.

CWM stayed on course throughout these challenging times by providing financial support to our partner agencies who were relied upon heavily. We also served our neighbors who were in need wherever they were with Y-Not Assist.

I was often inspired by the faith of our neighbors who humbled themselves to us with the details of their stories and in most cases we were able to provide relief and shine a little love in their lives.

Together, along with our dedicated board members, we were able to do our part in fulfilling the mission that we have challenged ourselves to achieve.
